Special Thanks to Personal Trainer Linda Lardino-Semko for presenting and demonstrating various Functional Strength Training exercises during our JUNE SOCIAL!    She went over many exercises we can perform to help make us stronger and fitter for racing.   We had a nice turnout of about 13 athletes for the demonstration, with about 9 of us doing the exercises.

Linda discussed what we could do in a quick 30 minutes that would target using our entire body and strengthen our core.  Many of the exercises included things we could do at home  such as using dumb bells, tubing, fit balls, own body weight and bosu ball or unstable surfaces.  She also handed out coupons for a free spin class and discounts on Body Fat testing to all participants.   She plans on getting us handouts of the exercises as well as some articles to help us incorporate what we learned into our own  training.  After the presentation and workout....Many of us headed out to dinner immediately afterwards and had a great time socializing!   Next social will be sometime in August!
