Training Groups for 2008
Below
is the information for when group training meets. There are two ways to get
involved in the group training.
1. Join
a specific group, such as the Run Group or Ocean Swim Groups. Bricks and Clinics
will also be available separately.
2.
Session Package deals were you buy sessions of 10 or more workouts that you can
use during various 14 week sessions during the year. The session packages can
be used for runs, swims, bikes or bricks (count as 2 sessions) only.
Clinics
are not included.

2008
Tuesday Night Run Group Info
Meets
at 6:30 PM at a variety of parks in Palm Beach County including Red Reef Golf
Course Pavilion, Lake Wyman Park with Mulch Trails on 5th Street
Diagonal, Patch Reef Park, Linton Bridge for Hills, Morikami Gardens
for a Trail and off road run.
Three 14 week sessions Session #1
Winter- 1/8-4/8, 2008 Session #2 Spring/Summer 4/15- 7/29 Session #3 Fall Session
8/05-11/18 Each session will include a warm up, specific
running drills section to become more efficient runners and a speed workout with
cool down.

Brick or Mock Triathlon
Sessions Locations are Deerfield Beach Beach Area,
A1A and Palmetto, Spanish River Park in Boca, Birch State Park in Fort
Lauderdale, Yamato Scrub Park in Delray, Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek and
Morikami in Delray. In 2008 season we will be expanding into different areas
such as Gulfstream Park and Boynton Beach, and Pompano Beach area.
Most of
the bricks are more like Mock Triathlons where you can repeat swim to bike to
run efforts with other athletes. Transition racks are set up and all your gear
is attended to while participating. Courses are set up to follow with maps (if
needed). It is super Race Specific training!

Sessions for 2008 Session #1 Winter-
2/21-4/10 Session #2 Spring/Summer 4/17-6/5 Session #3 Fall Session
8/07-9/25
Thursdays early evening starting at 5:30 PM.
Each
week will include a different workout concentrating on various skills. A
variety of courses will be set up to practice all the skills using buoys.

Trips and Training Camps
Trips are planned throughout the year to
train in other areas of the state. In January and February, we will be taking a
trip to Clermont and Lake Louisa State Park. Weekends include biking the hills,
running some asphalt and dirt trails as well as swimming at The National
Training Center and Lake Louisa.
