Group Training Opportunities

Throughout the year I provide various opportunities to train with other athletes.  Personally coached athletes receive a discount on some group training.  Check out the options below.

 

 

 

Bricks and Clinics for the 2007

 

Brick Session

The brick sessions are a perfect way to do multiple repeats of bike to run, or swim to bike, or swim to bike to run in a group setting.  Transition racks are typically set up
so you can also practice getting faster with your transitions.  These sessions are very popular amongst my athletes.  Everyone pushes each other a little harder and also enjoys spending time together! 

May 12th
Deerfield Beach Small Parking Area by Embassy Suites Hotel
South end of Beach area
7AM to 9:00
Various combinations of Ocean swim to Bike,  Bike to Run, and all 3 Repeats.
Bike is 7 mile loop, run is 1.5 mile loop, ocean swim is 1/4 mile.

June 2nd
South Beach Park in Boca
6:45 to 8:30 AM

June 30th
Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale
Boca Raton
8:00-11:00 AM
Loops around Beautiful Birch State Park (1.7 mile loop several times)
Ocean Swim after last repeat.

July 28th
Morikami Park
Delray Beach off of Jog Road between Clint Moore and Linton
7 AM to 9 AM
Bike to run repeats within the park.  The run can be off road on mulch and gravel trails.
Price  $15 pre register, $20 day of brick.

September 1st
Spanish River Park
Boca Raton Florida
7:15 AM to 10:30AM.

Mini race set up with swim to bike to run and T1 and T2 practice.  It is a great brick for first timers or to tune up for an upcoming race.

Open Water Swim Clinic

Date:  July 15th, 2007
Location:  South Beach Park in Boca

Learn many of the skills you need to swim successfully in Open Water.  The clinics will go over starts, exits, drafting, navigation and sighting skills, techniques for swimming in various water conditions as well as provide practice and drills for each skill learned.

The more advanced clinic will go much more in depth of tricks to swimming well in open water and practice the skills intensely.  

Regular Clinic starts at 9:00 AM to 10:45  $35   Active Registration

Transition Clinic

August 19th
Boca Raton-South Beach Park

Want to shave time off your finish!  Learning how to transition fast and practicing it will make a huge difference in your race.  Transitioning is really the 4th discipline within the sport of triathlon...yet few athletes practice or know how to do it quickly.  Come on out and learn the tricks of the trade.  There will also be an advanced Clinic for those of you that have attended the clinic before.  We will practice and go more in depth into ways you can really save time!  The advanced clinic will definitely be challenging!

  Nutrition Fueling for Training and Racing Clinic

Date: Sunday September 16th, 2007
Time:   2:30PM
Location:  The Racer's Edge Cycle Shop in Boca Raton, FL

Are you bonking while you are training or have no idea how to fuel for a race?   This clinic will help you to understand how to fuel properly so you get the most out of your workouts, can feel energized throughout the day and get a good handle on what to eat and drink for races.  It will also include nutritional guides and products.

8:15AM to 10:30AM

This clinic is a great way to learn all kinds of tips for racing well at the FAU triathlon along with doing a practice run of all or most of the course.   Transition racks will be set up so you can practice your transitioning and all the tips.   It is a great clinic for First timers or any athletes that want to improve their performance.
